“What makes me the most excited about this new role is the impact I can make on my players and the game of lacrosse. I was once in their shoes and I believe St. Rita and their lacrosse program taught me life skills, on and off the field, that I carry with me to this day,” Martino said. “I am looking forward to getting started and helping the program continue to grow.”

Coach Tobias is a 2019 St. Rita graduate. He is the oldest of three, including his brother Colin Tobias who also graduated from St. Rita in 2022. He has a lot of family history with St. Rita, as his father Randy Tobias, graduated in 1985, as well as many of his uncles and cousins. He currently resides in Plainfield, IL.

Coach Tobias started his coaching career as a lacrosse coach at Western Springs Park District from 2020-2021. While away at college from 2022-2024, he worked in the athletic training room assisting athletes with injuries while providing them treatment plans and working alongside coaches on building team culture. Currently, Coach Tobias serves as the Program Coordinator for Four Star Lacrosse where he coaches and conducts much of the day-to-day work that allows them to run their camps, practices, and social media pages.

“I am excited to be in a position where I can use my role as a vessel to guide young men as they journey into the next stage of their lives, while growing their knowledge and love for the game of lacrosse,” Tobias said. “St. Rita provided a second home for not only myself, but many of my family members over the years. Being able to come back shortly after I left, allows me to provide a unique perspective as I was in their shoes not too long ago. I want to continue the success of all those who came before me.”
