2025 St. Rita Hall of Fame Inductee: Mark Sadowski ‘92

We are honored to induct Mark Sadowski '92 into the St. Rita Hall of Fame at our 88th Annual Alumni Banquet & Hall of Fame Dinner

Mark Sadowski grew up in Bridgeport where he attended Bridgeport Catholic Academy and was a member of St. Anthony Parish. Mark was the middle child of his parent’s Robert and Marirose’s three boys. Mark’s older brother, Jeff attended St. Rita and was voted Mr. Mustang for the class of 1990. Mark has a 16-year-old daughter, Raffaella, with his former wife Holly Goline.

During his time at St. Rita, Mark was an honors student, who was involved in various clubs and sports. He was a member of the National Honor Society and president of the Student Council. Mark competed in basketball, baseball, track and field, and football. On the football field, he was a three-year varsity starter, a member of the 1990 Catholic League Championship team, and a captain his senior year. Mark earned All-Area, All-Catholic, and First Team All-Daily Southtown honors. He scored the last touchdown in school history at the old St. Rita stadium in a 21-6 victory over Leo High School. Along with all of his athletic accomplishments, he also received the United States Military Leadership Award and was named co-Mr. Mustang for the class of 1992.

After St. Rita, Mark earned a full scholarship to Tulane University to play football. His playing career was cut short due to injuries, leading him to become a member of the coaching staff under former head coaches, Buddy Teevens and Tommy Bowden. Mark graduated from Tulane with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Mark has spent the past 27 years in the NFL working in the front offices for the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, and is currently the Director of Player Scouting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mark worked with Mike Ditka in the early stages of his career and coordinated the Measurement Station at the NFL Scouting Combine for 15 years. During his NFL front office tenure, Mark has helped build rosters for teams that won five division championships, played in two NFC Championship games, and had one Super Bowl appearance.

Join us in celebrating Mark, along with our renowned Hall of Fame inductees and anniversary classes, at our 88th Annual Alumni Banquet & Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday, May 2! Purchase your tickets here!
