St. Rita of Cascia High School Announces New School Nurse & Administrative Assistant

CHICAGO — Deacon John Donahue, J.D. Ed.D., President of St. Rita of Cascia High School, announced Elizabeth Fitzpatrick has been named our new School Nurse & Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick has been a nurse for over 15 years, where she worked on the Trauma/Surgical Unit at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. In 2023, she took her nursing expertise to Southeast Elementary School in Evergreen Park.

A native of Mount Greenwood, Mrs. Fitzpatrick attended St. Christina and Mother McAuley High School. She later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Xavier University.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick has been married to her husband Mike for 12 years and together they have four sons: Michael, Liam, Luke, and Marty. They are currently members of St. Christina Parish.

As she begins her time at St. Rita, Mrs. Fitzpatrick looks forward to becoming more involved in after school activities and getting to know the students.

“I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the St. Rita Family,” Fitzpatrick said. “From the moment I walked in the door I knew this is where I wanted to be. The welcoming atmosphere and the energy in this building are incredible, and I’m so excited for my sons to be future Mustangs like my father, Tony Strimer ‘71!”
